Early Morning group Joining Nairobi National Park

Tour Description

Embark on a thrilling half-day adventure to Nairobi National Park, where you’ll encounter the majestic lions, rhinos, and buffaloes, along with a variety of other wildlife, all within the boundaries of the only park located in a capital city.

Established in 1942 by colonial settlers as a recreational space, the park sits right next to the rapidly growing Nairobi city.

Among Nairobi National Park’s key attractions are rhinos, lions, leopards, and buffalo. However, elephants are absent from the park, as its limited size cannot accommodate the large home range required for these magnificent animals.

The park is home to three distinct ecosystems: the dry forest on the western side near the main gate, the vast savannah grasslands to the southwest, and the riverine ecosystem marking the southwestern boundary.

Although relatively small at 177 square kilometers, Nairobi National Park is just a short 7km (15-minute) drive from Nairobi’s central business district.
